Firearm Confiscation in the United States

Firearm confiscation isn’t something that only happens on foreign shores.

We’ve had more than a couple instances of firearm confiscation within our own borders, and every example follows a disturbing trend:

The US Government has used (and continues to use) gun control as a way to wield power over racial minorities and those with inconvenient political opinions.

It’s time for a history lesson.

1,300 Americans Died Today from Preventable Causes, And You Weren’t Told

822 people were killed today, and the majority of people in this country are fighting to make the killer more acceptable in our everyday lives.

365 more people were killed by machines that anyone over 18 can buy without any kind of purchase restrictions.

150 more died from something we have all experienced, and we don’t even worry when it strikes our children.

And another 11 kids lost their lives, either at home or at a friend’s home, by a dangerous object that any family can own without any regulations at all.

the illusion of safety and security is a dangerous thing

Do you FEEL Safe?

Human Rights are Non-Negotiable

Many of us will pick a particular cause to champion, with various human rights being a favorite topic of most.

Some people fight to squash racial prejudice.

Others fight for the rights of those with unconventional sexual orientation.

Religious freedom, free speech and the right to keep and bear arms (RKBA) are other worthy causes.

We could not influence laws covering religious freedom without the right to petition our government.

Without the ability to have an impartial jury of our peers arbitrate our grievances, we would be at the mercy of a dictatorial government.

It’s not that simple, though –

Remember when you felt like you could make a difference in the world?

As we get older, the pure idealism of our youth gradually fades, leaving so many people cynical, quietly resigned to their fate. The truth is this:

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season

We are all gearing up for the holiday season. There is shopping to do, meals to prepare, and many of us will be traveling.

No doubt there is much to preoccupy us, but there is also a nagging voice in the back of our minds…what if something similar to the Paris attacks happens here? The truth is that no matter what safeguards our government institutes, there is never a guarantee that something bad won’t happen. Whether it’s a terrorist attack, natural disaster, fire, or some other catastrophe, bad things sometimes happen to good people. Those who are prepared stand a much better chance of surviving and avoiding injury or death.
